High School/Career Tech

You can get a jump start on your college educatioan while still in high school by taking courses at Delgado Community College. To qualify for the program, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be a Junior or senior in high school
  • Have a cumulative high school GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Be recommended by a high school counselor or principal

Tuition may be waived for eligible students enrolled in an approved Career Tech Program.  Students are responsible for any additional fees, books and transportation.

If you meet the above criteria, your first step is to complete the Delgado Community College application for admission and a Career Tech application. Then have your guidance counselor attach your high school transcript to the applications and deliver the application to Delgado Community College (Building 23, 2nd floor).
